Scapolan Burney is an award winning, London-based, RIBA chartered architecture and design studio founded by Sebastiano Scapolan and Rick Burney. We are a dedicated team of creative problem-solvers. We genuinely enjoy the building process and strive to ensure that each project achieves its full potential.

We undertake a diverse range of projects, ranging from innovative new-builds to the thoughtful re-use of existing structures and listed buildings. This diversity lifts our practice, allowing us to celebrate each project’s unique character while fostering a collaborative environment where we learn from one another.

To date, Scapolan Burney has designed and delivered a diverse portfolio of projects, from bespoke furniture to complex mixed-use buildings, with budgets ranging from £200k to £35 million. While we are London-based, we will follow the right project to any location.

We do not adhere to a singular house style; instead, we are committed to a design process that champions contemporary architecture that is tailored to its setting and potential. Each commission is unique, valued for its distinctiveness; we design simple, richly economical solutions where appropriate and special, bespoke details where needed. Our design judgement and construction expertise enable us to uncover the best solution for each situation, adding value through thoughtful design.
